소아청소년들이나 성인들의 발에 외상이 잘 생긴다.
발에

- 외상이나
- 털프 족지,
- 중족골 스트레스 골절,
- 종골염,
- 부 주상골,
- 주상골 스트레스 골절,
- 새끼발가락 중족골 염좌,
- 존스 골절,
- 비골 건염,
- 비골 부전탈구,
- 시버 병,
- 족부 근막염,
- 아킬레스 건염 등이 발에 생길 수 있다.

1. 털프 족지 Tulf toe

아이들은 육체적 운동을 비교적 많이 하고 발을 과다히 쓰기 때문에 발의 전족이나 중족, 또는 후족의 부분에 통증이나 외상이 비교적 잘 생길 수 있다.
엄지발가락의 중족지골 관절에 염좌가 더 흔히 생길 수 있다.
운동을 하는 중 중족지골 관절이 과다히 신전될 때 털프 족지가 생길 수 있다.
털프 족지가 생기면 엄지발가락이 아프고 붓는다.
골절과 감별 진단해야 한다.
털프 족지를 털프 토우(Turf toe)라고 한다.

“RICE” 치료

발가락 외상이 다 나을 때까지 외상을 입은 발을 쓰지 않고(Relative),
외상으로 생긴 부종을 얼음찜질로 가라앉히고(Ice),
붕대 등으로 적절히 감아주고(Compress),
외상을 입은 발을 베개 등으로 약간 높이 올려놓아 (Elevation) 붓지 않게 치료 한다.
이런 발 외상 치료방법을 “RICE”라고 한다.

• Children and adolescents and adults are prone to trauma to the feet.

o metatarsal stress fractures;

o calcaneal,

o Minor navicular,

o scaphoid stress fractures,

o Little toe metatarsal sprain,

o Jones fractures;

o fibular tendinitis,

o peroneal subluxation,

o Sieber bottle,

o plantar fasciitis,

o Achilles tendinitis may occur in the foot.

1. Tulf toe

• Because children exercise relatively a lot and use their feet excessively, pain or trauma to the forefoot, midfoot, or hindfoot can occur relatively easily.

• Sprains are more common in the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe.

• Turf toe can occur when the metatarsophalangeal joint is overextended during exercise.

• Turf toenails cause pain and swelling in the big toe.

• A fracture and differential diagnosis should be made.

• Turf toe is called turf toe.

“RICE” treatment

1. Do not use the injured foot until the toe trauma is healed (Relative);

2. Soothe edema caused by trauma with ice pack (Ice),

3. Wrap it properly with a bandage, etc. (Compress),

4. Elevate the injured foot with a pillow or the like to prevent swelling. This foot trauma treatment method is called “RICE”.
